7:00:  Live from the Astro McMansion!  Brad Nessler and Jimmy Dykes will have the call tonight, and they are already pimping AJ Ogilvy. 

 

7:02:  Aris and Ajayi up front starting with Mercer getting his second straight start with Howard and Verdejo in the backcourt.  DoJo is coming off the bench tonight, Heath really shaking things up.

 

7:03:  Man I love those away jerseys

 

7:05:  Wee trading offensive fouls, Williams and Ajayi already with their first.

 

7:06:  BJ you aren’t Shaq, and then he can’t finish the rebound on the defensive side.  Also just heard that DoJo sprained his ankle yesterday in practice.  Greaaaat.

 

7:08:  DoJo just checked in for Howard and immediately goes to the line.  Hits one of two.

 

7:10 Vandy looks just as sloppy as we do.  Gus checked in and hits the baseline jumper up 3-2.

 

7:11 Mercer is fantastic at driving to the basket. Ajayi puts in the handoff to put the Bulls up 5-2 at the first TV Timeout.

 

7:14 Williams cannot handle Ogilvy down low, just manhandled.

 

7:16 Vandy hits a WIDE open 3 and Gilchrist gets another basket.  7-7.  Rivas gets his first foul

 

7:19 Gus feeling a little too confident missing two in a row badly and Ajayi gets foul 2 Williams in for him now.  Vandy hits both FT to go up 11-7 at the 12 minute mark.

8:04.  Mercer reported to have some back spasms, not what I wanted to hear to start off the second half.

8:27 DoJo getting to the line hits 5 in a row and close it to 12.

 

8:28 Gus with a 3 and we are within 9.  If you throw enough up, eventually it’s going to in.  Jones fouls Ogilvy and we are at the under 12 timeout.

 

8:32 Ogilvy has 12 boards already tonight. And he is heading to the line again.  Running out of fouls for our big men.  Just foul everyone except him because he’s the only one hitting the free ones.

 

8:36 Heath going to 4 guards.  Vandy makes a nice move to move it back up to 15.  Heath calls timeout with 9:30 to go.

9:00 Glad this one is almost over.  Get to San Juan and get ready for the tournament.

 

9:01 Man those were some awful free throws from Aris.  Onuaku bad.  Then fouls out.  That’s the 2nd big gone tonight.

 

9:03 McClennan and Beal hit 3s and the lead is now 23.  Ogilvy finished with 20 and 13

 

9:05 Verdejo with 4 quick points.  And B.J Daniels checks in getting in some garbage minutes.  Hits one of two FTs to get on the board.  Leemow is in as well now.

 

9:07 Dykes has been name dropping like crazy tonight.

 

 And with that it’s over.  At least the Bulls keep it with 20.  USF falls to Vanderbilt 71-52.  The Dores move to 7-3 while the Bulls fall to 3-5.
